Respectful parody

Daft on Hills

I wandered with the roaming crowds
That trample dales and swarm up hills
iPod headsets blaring loud
In search of William`s Daffodils

Beside the lake beneath the trees
Bin bags rustling in the breeze

Glinting cola cans that shine
A wrapper from a Milky Way
Where fellow ramblers paused to dine
Up from Stockport for the day

Devoted Real Ale campaigners
Wearing track suits jeans and trainers

High above the thronging mass
In unexpected stormy weather
Gale force whistling through the pass
Huddled shivering all together

Learning the hard way Lakeland kills
City slickers Daft on Hills.....

Very good. In fact the best parody of it I have read. Even better than the Rocky and Bullwinkle one :)

This is an amusingly acerbic view of "nature lovers" visiting from town.
