Fortune Cookie

Little slip

Of paper:

“You will experience

A delightful sensation.”

God, it’s been so long.

I taped it to your door

Because I wanted

To share

My good fortune

With you.

this seems to work three ways—nice for you, nice for the person on whom door it was taped, and nice for the reader. i had a pleasant sensation reading this (which doesn't obviate a "delightful" sensation at some time to come).

so often a few words are all it takes.

How delightfully vague! This actually works. Just knowing that someone else thinks of you, and wants to share happiness with you, is powerful enough in itself to give you "delightful sensations."
