This is a wonderful, haunting poem -- layered in meaning and in emotional impact. You really captured the very essence of the power of the deprived self, surrendering to all that binds. In the end: surrendering to the Dark Force, may it be lies, self-deception, greed, power, lust, depression, anger, pathology in whatever kind. Yes, symptomatic of the negative Imitator -- a life paralyzed.

Well done -- perfect structure and content.
