To my nephew by Ann Wood

Like it was yesterday,
When your father
Called me to tell
Me that you were born.
You were only eleven days, when I first saw.
Today, you are almost six years old
And now you can read and write.
You're a smart kid who loves to play in the park
You can count to a hundred in English
You love to play with Lego
And piecing together puzzles.
Since you are born you are
Favorite of all in the house
I love you cute little one,
You are the meaning of my life.
May the Lord our Father bless you
and keep you safe, Amen
