Checquer Boards

Nations rise and nations fall
Like the waves on a solar sea
Like a horror to appall
Tipping scales giant to a flea'

Ballet dancing on cataclysm stages spin
Outre passing days into chasm folds within

Like burning decks of cards stacks and stacks
Circus cash wrecks in yards queens and jacks

Ride the rails on down to the rusty banks
Holey sails in town giving thankless thanks

Enter whirling doors lodgings stored in mind
Vacant ceiling floors, motives bored and blind
