Poem For Winston

Going down to the Victory Cafe
For some cigarettes and gin
I don't care what Father has to say
Or how the media tries to spin
It's never lonely, always a table
Does not matter who you're with
I'm going to be loyal and stable
Like a broken Winston Smith
Going to scream in abject horror
When the ratcage facemask is attached
Love the one behind the mirror
All disobedience will be smashed
It is always Now a beautiful day
Time to drown at the Victory Cafe
