From February 2017. A whimsical epistle to a friend, chock-full of private jokes, but as I feel the whimsy might prove infectious even to those not in on the jokes, I'll post it here!
Here Endeth the Lesson
Yoda-coda, sparkling soda,
be my pink champagne:
rumble-jungle, Art Garfunkel,
sing me "Summer Rain"!
Heather-feather, winter weather,
grab the nearest shovel:
Cadillac and Kerouac, please
tidy up that hovel.
Debba-doodle, belly-boodle,
get your fix at Dunkin';
slender, ample, bad example,
time to bring your junk in.
Mostel (Zero), nine-point beer, oh,
dizzy me with antics!
Fascist state or Make It Great? A
matter of semantics.
Mister Riddle, play that fiddle,
hear the tenor bellow:
Catholic "Workah", glad mazurka,
louder than a cello!
Elmer Fitz's greatest hits'll
top the Billboard charts.
Xerxes Riff gets awful stiff while
throwing Red Hat darts!
Yes, I think I'd better sink in-
to the green recliner,
prop my head in someone's bed in
toasty Carolina.
