"She had a horror or rooms she was tired, you can't hide beat "
D. Bowie

Golden Trough

They come to feed at the golden trough
Drawn from somewhere inside the great Idol ID
Somewhere hidden from Daylight Fair
Somewhere far from anywhere,

They come to feast to preen and caw
To hold themselves above their law,

Is it your blood and mine upon which they wine and feast ?

The old gods and devils have nothing on them
Whom are absolutely drunken on the grapes of Power and Control

It's a crafted stage play
A scripted tipsy barroom brawl
Drugged deep within an urban sprawl
Such creatures crawl from clay

Somewhere far from anywhere
Somewhere hidden from Daylight Fair
Drawn from somewhere inside the great Idol ID
They come to feed at the golden trough.
