A Gratitude

My neighbour Lisa smokes,
has a head of white hair brushed back
briskly, almost ruthlessly. Her voice
is as gentle as gravel, but friendly
as a baseball game. She almost never
wears socks with her crocs. She is
prone to headaches. She cares for
at least two of her older neighbours,
and her "default position" (if I may
so phrase it) is pro-human-being.
I am pro-Lisa. I like her. Like her a lot.
