Cafe Greetings
How poetic strangers once met in a faraway cafe
Overseas and over exes
Let's see she said, I'll have the angel hair coffee and
A bowl of sugar coated fritoes
I'm too thin skinned to wait for this sunlamp to dim and
Do something about those mosquitoes
With a mirror in his eye and a tear in his ears
He agreed with a smile to meet later by the way
It was not so much the sound of her voice as
Just what she had to say,
When poetic strangers meet in a faraway cafe . .
