Smash Away, Sisters
I must have told you that story about old Msgr Walsh
from my mom's highschool who gathered the senior girls
for a talk (this was 1963) about their wifely duties, among them,
being "available" for their husbands. He punctuated his counsel
with the warning that if they weren't available and the husband
strayed to the comforts of another woman, then the unwilling
wife would bear the guilt of her husband's adultery. This is
just a small part of the reason why I'll gladly give a hammer
to any woman who aims to smithereen the patriarchy.
