201. The Argument

When you really love someone
you tend to idealize her,
that is unescapable in love
and its predestined ruin,
since your lovéd always must
sooner or later fail in living up to your ideal –
it is a matter of reality and nature,
and thus you must lose your lovéd,
but you can never lose your love.

Thank you. This was not really meant as a poem at all but more as an 'argument' for a whole collection, pinpointing a theme that can be turned into volumes...
