Firefly

Firefly shy, apply, a landmark

Glowing in the darkest night

up to the sky high

Look at me!

the glow fades away, when

the dawn becomes clear

And the air between

summer and winter

where the flowers speak softly

a farewell and goodbye . . .

A snowflake is falling, glistering

sparkling in the black night

and the moon say's welcome

to the arctic night

long is the time

until the summer sun shines

betsy Firefly
Written as tho' you reside in the srctic!

The two first verses could actually stand alone as a poem about the tiny, intriguing firefly!
