32) Can feelings be packed?

I can forget the places.
Ignore the faces.
Move from land to land.
Embark and start a brand new life.
If it's only a matter of place,
Then transferring will be a piece of cake.
But if you want to forget a soul,
Calming your sores,
And travel from love to forgetfulness shore.
Will it be easy?
Won't feel feeble?
When you are hunted by memories,
Every time you hear the melodies,
once danced with him gladly,
talking,kissing and hugging tightly.
Can feelings be packed?
Is there's a space on Earth where overlooking
Is feasible without a cry.
Can they be erased easily like dust?
Controlled without much fuss?
Can senses surrender?
Without feeding its hunger;
By warm memories from the past.
If so, I will be the first to wave Goodbye.

If read in earnesty, this is a 'moving' piece!

You write well here or there, at home or away.

A powerful piece Amanda! Nice questions raised here... yes, it is not in our power to pack, put away, tuck away feeling or memories.... A very good idea!

I am afraid the answer to this beautiful poems question, is that there is no case big enough and anyway, it is not good for our soul, burdens us too much and if we try too hard to shut the case, the lock jambs and our hearts stay in darkness, from my experience anyway. Great poem Amanda, smiling sadly at you, Tai
