Variations Of Grief
excerpt from a small collection of my poetry with the working title : `It is so hard to say I love you these days `and `aborted photographs never fade `.
That left of you now
The letter around your waist
Will make you never sleep again
__________ MUTATIONS _________
- rage : refuses to be dressed
- to be : refuses dressed rage
- dressed : rage to be refused
THE SHED
the shed
---------------- grass ---------- soft wind ----------
breeze
grass--------------------- growing tall----------------tall--------
the path -----------------------grass
behind the shed
dead
wood piled--------------------------------dead---------grass----
the shed -------------------
a shadow
the stone
-----
beneath the stone
----------------------------her grave----------
This garden laughs
barefoot
tiny footsteps
curled roots
behind the bangs
(she laughs)
__
- this is how we meet
dressed in white paper
populated by the absence
of each-other
only the weight of our waltz
has an echo
the bump on the page
is a dead songbird
