For those who have not been there yet, the Pincio gardens are in Rome, set high above the Piazza del Popolo. They are a place of great beauty, serenity and life.

aquamarine

Sitting
in the
gentle
shade
of the
Pincio
November
sun
casts
long
dark
shadows
over
fountain pool
black
presences
on
aquamarine,
are these
mysterious
and
changing
shapes
home thoughts
when abroad
or are they
simply
Autumn's
last
gasp
for
winter
will not
hold back
its
bite
for
long?

I was born and grew up in Rome, so this poem brings back melancholy memories of sunday walks...
The colour impression you communicate with just few words is beautiful!

' Winter will not hold back its bite for long ?'

Love these last lines!

Life is where hope is...

(((Hugs)))

Welcome to the bay again!

Love, Zoya
