A poem that sprung from my comment on Michael's poem for Aaron's Challenge. As always it's such a joy to write with Michael. The words seem to flow between us. : )

Kismet (co-write with Lastromantichero) for Aaron's Twilight Challenge

And as we love in these twilight years
This time is our Eden, our paradise
For we at last have found such bliss
Two hearts, two souls, two lives

And we have found this shalamar
This destined beautiful kismet
For there within our greengage years
We have found the purest love

This purest love, this perfect love
Enfolds us in its grandeur
Enraptured in its splendour
Our lives are changed forever

For in this ethereal love we found
There is for me eternal peace
It was you  I had been waiting for
To help my heart release its chains

Solace comes in twilight's arms
A treasure more precious than gold
A love beyond the realms of time
Your heart, my heart entwined

And thus within this twilight's love
This world of enchanted dreams
The union between us is meant to be
Fated destiny this kismet it seems

"ethereal love we found " --

You almost create some texture to a poem thats 2D. I can't see how you can do that, but it's powerfull indeed. Very powerfull.

A brilliant write Kathy.

This reminds me of great loves throughout time and the wonderfulness of them. I think of my (and Kathy's ) parents who had 64 years together. I think of love that is built upon the unyielding acceptance of each other all of each other, the pretty with the plain, the heroic with the vain. Unconditional love is hard to find, but once committed to it, it gives and gives and gives and there is never a moment of regret. This is a wonderful co-write.

There are twilights so radiant, that they most resemble a glorious dawn...
This is what I think while I read this duet of yours!
