craquels = fine cracks for example on the surface of an old painting? is craquels the correct word in english?
(craquelure exists i french)

unio mystica

I catch the wind
         in skinned hands;

put it gently in a down of a feather
from your broken wing

And from craquelures of dried sacrificial blood
                  sprout new ways of flight up

which only you and I can see

I've been thinking about it for a while, but I'm afraid that I have nothing to suggest for "craquels.
But, I need to say that the image offered by line 3 and 4 is so incredibly beautiful and delicate!

I've never heard the word before, but it's very descriptive, and I know what you mean. I could not find the word in my Oxford dictionary, but that means nothing, it's a modern version, and I find it useless anyway.
