just a picture and a thought, without a purpose or a goal, allowed to find its own end.

pearlescence

pearls drop
from the necklace
scattering along the floor
creating sounds released
sending out echoes of detachment
coming apart, spreading individuals
no longer one
but many
rolling away from the strings
that bind
finally broken and alone
with no home
just the feeling of complete freedom
and the sadness that comes
without unity

Essence of pearls - they need to hold together. One pearl makes no necklace... But the sound of scattering is irresistible.
Lovely poem which holds together, indeed!

Hello Dear,
I love the poem, but I think that essence is spelled the way I just did. Great work just the same.

Wow! I could hear the sound of pearls raining against a stony floor as I read this. Beautiful poetry and a lovely picture.

This should earn a front page feature.
Each line is a gem (no pun intended, well maybe).
Actually, this is like a string of magnificent pearls, one after another, tied together to make a statement of beauty. Simple yet rare, to be made of what you will. There are so many things I could say about this poem it would take up the rest of this page. This would make a great poem for a Literature class.

This is a pure joy to read. The imagery is lovely yet strong and vivid - so much more than pearls dropping. I just love this one.
