Dreams VIII

dancing through my dreams
there is the warmth of loving touch
and gildings of the sweetest kiss
the one I've missed so much
dressed down in this clouded image
maybe a note to stay who I am
and take the gift of acceptance
rather than play another's plan
consciousness almost invades
this dream that seems so real
the path leads me into a maze
where the love I no longer feel
and yet sleep returns determinedly
I go back to get it right
finding the embrace so easily
in this dream I had last night

You have such a fine way with imagery my friend, quite sweeps the reader up. You trace the footsteps of a beautiful, almost waking dream that you return to. That is so believable, it has happened to me on numerous occasions, amazing how the mind works, not to mention our hearts and souls.

When the connection is right
there is no day or night.

Beautiful read, should that be 'say' on line six?

It could work as stay. I think that is what we do as poet and writers, we make notes to stay who we are.

Smiling at you
