Missing Person

Sifting trough the garbage bin
i came across a thought
that led me to a memory
of a mystery i hadn't sought

To find the missing person
whose coat hangs upon my wall
that disappeared long ago
without a curtain call

It really is a mystery
that i do not understand
sliding out the window
to an unknown foreign land

The dark abyss just called one day
and invited me to dance
the taste of longing on its lips a
a suicidal trance

What started a curiosity
my strength could brush aside
has got me by the throat now
and there's no where left to hide

So i look into the mirror
of this missing persons face
and rummage through
the garbage bin
for the remains
of an earthly embrace.

Zoya Zaidi
A very interesting approach;
A feeling of Desolation overtakes me;
A kind of duisturbing feeling...
As usual this poem of your also moves me...

((Hugs))

the image of the garbage bin really adds a desolate, pained feeling to this moment... like a realization that things have changed within for the worse... and that's just how it is despite efforts, it seems... that's where you words took me... sensitive, and sad, really... expressed with much emotion, as always... *hugs* xx

Under the purple moon,
There's a fear that I do not fear...
That I will disappear without a trace.
To know where I am,
Yet not see myself at all;
To look at my own soul-
And recognize it no more.
I am searching for the missing person.

I've just realized I am riding on the wrong wave in life....deep poem.

Daybreaker
I liked this very much. The flow is brilliant, and the ending is sublime.

I certainly would like to find my missing person. He has vanished into the mirror, I can't see him no more... ;)
