My Town

Everyone puts on their plastic faces
In the morning time.
They smile, and say things like "Good morning!"
And "How are you this evening?"
But inside, their hearts are rotten
Hate consumes them all.

In a faraway land,
Our enemies are embracing one another
And giving their alms from the goodness of their hearts.

I looked in the mirror, and saw that I am my own enemy...

An interesting poem , Thomas. In each town there are those who put on faces.Say not what they rely think , have no interest in the reploys to there qustans ask. More consernd in them selfs. So sad a people so they are.
