Fire-maker
He carries the weight of the world on his shouldersinvisibly
with a smile
a laugh
Now he turns to me and puts the world down on his bedside table
warns me he might not be around for a while
to not worry
to continue as before
And the world goes on ticking
but I am left with the smokey, dream-like memories of last night
and his words floating about the air
This haze will lift
