inspired by the simon and garfunkel song "richard corey".

goodbye, richard cory! (contains explicit content)

the room kept getting smaller and smaller
it was as if my very world was shrinking
the time on this deserted island was so long
i missed the sound of your voice,
just the connection with another human being -
i missed it so much, that i went up to my room,
took out a shot gun and blew my fucking head off

i fell to the floor
lying there, i stared at my bloodstained wall
listening to the beat of my heart -
like the beat of a drum -
no one came, not even to say hello

i counted the beats of my heart
then something strange happened:
my heart stopped -
i thought that quite peculiar -
and then i died.
goodbye, richard cory!
i don't have time to talk to you
and i never liked you anyway
