eclipse on the beach

i thought i was my reflection,
i saw me in the eye of god

the sun and moon made love on the beach
while the stars watched the magnificent sight
blinded by the beauty of it all

everything is a passing phase,
merely a moment frozen in time

the grim reaper passed away last night:
his last words were, "glory not in victory"

everything is a passing phase,
merely a moment frozen in time

the ancients measured time in months

Nathalia
Beautiful, and it's true, life is a passing phase. Well written.

Morning Star
Wonderful poem. I love your inclusion of the transience of everything and that the ancients measured everything in months.
A good reminder to slow down and take our "time."
