Inspired by the first sentence, taken from the song "Bones" by Ben Howard

Mirage

"You love like you've always been lonely"

helplessly
hopelessly

clinging to the eye twinkling your way
opening your bed
even before your heart

now a smokescreen of beautiful illusions and dreams
wrapping up a nasty truth
with silken words and slippery promises

binding and numbing yourself
so he wont get hurt

binding and numbing him
so he wont hurt you

But the smoke will lift
and he sees through you already

so will never touch your
icy lips
