My Secret
I have no oneto share my secret with,
So, I share it with
the entire world.
Once I share my secret,
It's a secret no more.
But, it still remains mine,
And shall always be mine,
Still, it's mine no more:
I bare my wounds
of deep within
To the big wide world:
Some might laugh,
Some identify,
Some might shrink away
from the very sight!
But, there might be someone
-Even if just one-
Who might put a balm
to heal my sores?
I share my sorrows
of deep within
With the big wide world:
World might not understand,
Sympathize or empathize,
But at least,
It would be cathartic,
It might just lighten
the burden of my heart?
I expose my soul
to the wide world:
World might not reach it
It might not see it
But, someone might glimpse
The image of their own
Soul, in mine
The anguish of their own
Sorrow, in mine
The twinge of their own
Pain, in mine
And who knows, I might,
I just might,
Find my soul mate
one night?
Even if I don't,
But, if I just
strike a chord
In someone's heart,
Stir a little corner
of someone's soul,
And wash off
the tears of their anguish...
Then my sorrow,
Is my sorrow no more
It makes me happy,
Immensely happy...
Lord, give me the power
To heal others' wounds,
To alleviate their pain
And my own won't remain...
May be?
Just may be...
