Anquished Hearts
Trials and troubles touch every soul.Life's hard lessons seem beyond our control.
Innocent children are made to pay
While Evil's child comes to play.
He waits and watches, searching for prey.
He lusts for the pure whether night or day.
Satan's words evoke pain and despair.
He takes our babies and kills them there.
Anquished hearts cry out for those who've died.
Our tears flow like blood from our Savior's side.
We long for salvation's healing touch,
For our human souls, its just too much.
Where are the innocent days of my youth,
When a child could be safe in the truth?
They have been stolen by Satan's thieves
Who wickedly growl through hatred's teeth.
Oh, God, from whom all blessings flow,
Hear your children's cries, they are grieving so.
We look to you for comfort and peace.
Cover us with the Shepherd's warm fleece.
On kneeling knees we pray our prayer,
"Save us Lord," we beseech you in despair.
We wait for your answer to our plea.
Our eyes are open but we can't see.
Pour out your sweet fragrance of hope and love.
Fill our spirits and send your precious Dove
To comfort us where we are today.
Take our heartache and fears away.
Oh, Son of God, with Redeeming Grace,
Give us the faith until we see your face
To believe that you're the Mighty King,
Royal Ruler of everything.
