Tenacity

when the storm settles down,
and calm breezy shore betrays,
upheavelous previous night,
sun shines down a brilliant sky,
and you find yourself tied tight,
to the ebbs and flow,
breathing still,the same salty whiffs,
holding on to a familiar pain,
and questions that accompany,
of loyality,indestructable resolve and hold
to something unfathomable,
something untangible,
something made up,
bear no answer,
no definite thought,
only resemblance to the falling sand,
down a tense grasp,
the hope and longing that ensues,
emptiness it brings,
void it creates
