New Hymns (for old lies)
Have you heard the new hymns
Singing soft as if some higher morning
Were breaking just behind
Curtains long drawn close
For someone to be kind
Different than those
Wearing shadows blackened in mourning
Waiting while the Sun dims,
Have you felt the tide of utter madness
Surreptitious rustlings along purloined shores
Stealthy hands stealing ears, lock eyes in stores,
An obscene blatant lie, masquerades as truth profound
Such a curious die, cast around the world unsound
Unseen practices chitter&chatter dollar praises, sons of Ham
Pretend to speculate upon potential raises, so much spam
Manufactured and sold like bundles of Freedom by the pound,
Facts of matter appear in mirrors of reverse impression
Walls of engineered nonsense assault processes of thought
Starve for lack of exercise and food grows scarce and faint
Fodder for mindless whims
Have you heard the new hymns...
