A Love Forevermore

Once I met an angel caught in an earthly trap
She was so lovely to see, too transparent to behold
Smiling down upon my sadness and sins she sang
As only an angel who is unseen is ever heard to sing
I do believe I fell in love with her, (I did!)
Pray for something of a miracle, my hopes were hung
Upon the thought of Grace Divine, may her trap be sprung,
Hearing a voice upon a sudden breeze of rustling leaves
Within the hard fast din undone me still four thrice
Years must you wait, said she
Afore these pages ink to dry
My wings fly free in an eternity even now as ever was before
And kissed my mind with a kiss sweet and kind with a love I knew forevermore
