Futility

For those who dwell

lost in a labyrinth, content

trapped in an abyss

Stuck entranced in a cell

Lies a discreet pleasure,

in the wait to discover

 futility of the act.

I like this, though I'm not sure of its meaning.

Futility really scares me, and I can't find the" discreet pleasure" of discovering it. I have always believed in action, yet, here I am, "stuck in a cell" (I know I am borrowing your wonderful words) unable to act, and finding myself "trapped in an abyss" of futility.
This poem has so much to say in it and it has been said expertly.
