Where He Fell

Once a woman he knew deep in a spell
Her hair was fair and long where he fell
Into the heavenly waves of her song like light
In notes of palest violet blue blurred the points of night
Softening the wounds which wound around him heart and soul
Gathering in leaps and bounds beyond all grounds the angels know
Just how much Love is there more than words may tell
Sometimes when still he hears her singing yet
In a voice quietly ringing clear
So late into the falling year
( wreathed up in her smoke screen cigarette )
He holds inside so close and dear
A woman once he knew deep in a spell
Her hair was fair and long where he f e l l . . .
