If You Loved

Always wondered if you loved me
The way you lived and wore your words
Was wonderfully, strange
As Alice between pages of write
Me in my dreams tonight
With those hands so slender pale
Be my sender of senses way up there
Are lines of verse and a universe of being
Alone inside is a way to hide from some
Person someone thought you might be
Always wondered if you loved me,
In my dreams tonight
Alice between pages of write.

Dreamlike and beautiful. Reminds me of some of my favorite people.

This is a beautiful poem. Every line touches the heart.
Somehow the reference to living within the pages of Alice made it
for me.
