A Difficult Arrangement

It's a difficult arrangement
Poetic let us say . . .

You were my thoughts wearing veils of purple candlelight
You were the river wandering far and near
In the star-crossed melodies we used to hear
I held you dear as my own sight fading as we watched
The hours held each together, (matched), in our separate sighs so far apart . . .

Poetic let us say . . .
It's a difficult arrangement .
