A free verse poem of destiny.

The Unknown

The unknown is like a blank jigsaw,
Solving a puzzle with no picture.

The world is full of mysterious riddles,
One that doesn't offer a roadmap.

We rely on our logical judgement,
Guiding us through the maze of life.

Destiny can lead to any path,
As fear creeps up in the soul.

Live in the present mind frame,
While preparing for the unclear trail.

Kathy Lockhart
you have created a vast opened opportunity for some and a dark, closed end for others through your very challenging proposition of the unknown. I love the analogy of the blank jigsaw with no picture. I love it even more, if we were blind folded. These statements, situations, directions, suggestions, poetic phrases, per se, are brilliant and just. Each must find our own way, with eyes open or closed, using the past or forgetting it, leaning on our intuition or just our logic, we are the masters of our souls, the makers of our fate or perhaps we are like the feather bent in such a way the wind blows us where it will. So in putting together the blank jigsaw puzzle of our lives, it's always one piece at a time until we make the first connection. After that, we are no longer one, but two. whimsically speaking. :o) kathy
