A poem about the planets above. How they relate to us and the history of humankind. I also try to work with all kinds of mythology, but in the end we are all left to ourselves.

The wanderers

In a beginning
I was with you -

The wanderer.

Big waves came rolling
And in my mouth an ancient name -

Tethys.

We down here
Look up to you -

Clouds.

It's not dark yet,
Still my heart is restless -

Waves.

Soon the skies are as black as the sea -

Okeanos.

I love your use of language, simple lines which say a great deal.

Wonderful. I always thought it strange how men of science gave mythological names to the heavens.
