Thank You, Lord
Just another night in this sleepy little townThe streets are nearly empty, the sun is going down.
The kids have just come in from a hard day at play.
Dinner's being served as we bow our heads to pray.
Thank you Lord,
For the blessings from your hand.
Thank you Lord,
For the freedoms of this land.
I wish more people would follow your word.
As for me, I thank the Lord.
Days go by and we all hear the news.
Another senseless killing, giving us the blues.
Hate spreads all around us, it grows every day.
We need God's help, let's everybody pray.
Thank you Lord,
For the blessings from your hand.
Thank you Lord,
For the freedoms of this land.
I wish more people would follow your word.
As for me, I thank the Lord.
If Jesus is returning,
I pray He comes back today.
We need should all drop to our knees
And bow our heads and pray.
Thank you Lord,
For the blessings from your hand.
Thank you Lord,
For the freedoms of this land.
I wish more people would follow your word.
As for me, I thank the Lord.
