Walk the Halls
I walk the halls of this placeTo see all the mens faces
Of those who fought battles now and long ago
Some old men who move very slow
They tell me the date they went to war
Some on a foreign shore
I offer to sit and talk a while
A gentle touch and a smile
I walk the halls one more time
Then I look out the window and see the sunshine
Men proud of the time they served
Some don't ever say a word
I walk the halls and listen close
Just to hear them say "Adios
