Do You See The Silent Sandman? (Elizabeth’s Lullaby)
Send her sailing over Saturn
in a sailboat made of clouds
let her slide upon each ring
as she listen for rainbow sounds
Soaring amongst the saucers
that fly to earth now and then
waving to the moon man
as she passes his face and grins
Sleep my little child;
sleep for just awhile
Sleep in Heaven's keep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Bouncing from star to star
and lying in the dippers cup
let her hear the silvery voice
as Venus sings songs of hope
Toss her gently to Pluto
He is so tiny and cold
Let her hold him on her pinky
for he is getting very old.
Sleep my little child;
sleep for just awhile
Sleep in Heaven's keep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Do you see the Silent Sandman?
He steps without a touch.
He reaches into his big pockets
and golden sand drifts down like dust.
Sleep my little child;
sleep for just awhile
Sleep in Heaven's keep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
