is desire ever wasted?

A Dreamer's Desire

Lover of my dreams come to me this night.
I see your silhouette hovering as you watch me sleep.
Longing to press our bodies together,
I reach to bring you to me.

Are you just a mist of my mind?

I know you as a romantic dreamer
as I am of you.

Search for me in your dreams, My Love.
I am the silhouette hovering as I watch you sleep.
I await your invitation to enter your bed
to lie with you, in desire with you.

Are we just two lovers lost in a night's dream?

If it were so, let us dream for eternity.

yes, i think desire can be wasted, depending on where it's spent to answer the author note... but what longing is presented here! you sum up the dreamer's desire here with ease, it is beautiful but also sad... because it captures that ache, that very real ache, to get lost in a dream and abandon reality... to find love, even if it isn't... real, isn't exactly it.. you've got me thinking. :) it's a good one
