a cavernous love darkened by dead rock
a cavernous love darkened by dead rocksteepled by a church high on holy water
destined for the love of what water is
waves roll on lost shores
deep in the I where I in you too stand
eternity is a day of total decay
never knowing where I actually I-begin
and death will not sway
I hear you and I see you not
declaiming old campus
dim bar still standing flying with I
a very hope and warm
like slow tides and long legged birds
picking flood picking
there is still time to reclaim the here
in an ordinary glass of beer
