Take Me Away

Lookin' out my window,
I watch the snow keep fallin'.
It looks so pretty,
But I feel the islands callin'.
A burnin' yearnin'
To head to a warmer clime,
Sit on the beach
Sippin' a cocktail with a lime.

Take me away,
Where the warm breezes blow.
Far away from this ice and snow.
Take me away,
To where life moves so slow.
Where sunsets make the ocean glow.

I know lots of people
Love the changin' of the seasons.
That is surely okay,
I guess they have their reasons.
But as for this guy,
The warmer the better.
Give me my flip flops
And throw away this sweater.

Take me away,
Where the warm breezes blow.
Far away from this ice and snow.
Take me away,
To where life moves so slow.
Where sunsets make the ocean glow.

I don't need a lot
Just a roof above my head.
No need for a mansion.
I'll simply settle for a shed.
A little beach side bungalow
Where the two of us can dwell
Far far away
From this icy frigid hell.

Take me away,
Where the warm breezes blow.
Far away from this ice and snow.
Take me away,
To where life moves so slow.
Where sunsets make the ocean glow.
