Somewhere Someone Cries

somewhere

someone cries
sorrow's sadness plays dirges
while shadows of memories lie silent

stones of remembrance
stand shoulder to shoulder
watching as another is placed
under their watchful stern eyes

she strolls alone
the stillness of the air
takes her breath away
she can cry no more

she sighs
for the sound of life
hushes her into muteness
she stares with dry eyes

emptiness exists

somewhere

oh my . This is so excellent . I'm walking really carefully around it not to soil it with my clumsy footsteps.. for this is so beautifully excellent , and to this place I will return many times. bookmarked.

As the time goes by,
I expose my wounds of deep within,
And time gently puts its balm on them,
And heals them by and by...

The anguish of your heart touches mine!

"stones of remembrance
stand shoulder to shoulder"

LOVE THESE LINES!

Oh what a beautiful verse. So very moving and "quiet". There is a peace found here within the sound of life. I loved how you worded this entire piece. Simply perfect. LOVED it. ~Pam.
