..."said the spider to the fly"

The world is miniscule and large just through the panes of a window.

Meet Me In The Parlour?

Snared!
Set Free!
Stronger than the trap!
Fought for his life
Caught
Entangled
By the web
Of strife.

Woven by the Foe
A mystery to the prey
Laid in precise measure
Death to it's captured
But life for its eggs
To lay.

Ah, Today
In this moment
No food will he be
For the fly with blue wings
Was much mightier
Than the will
Of the Absent Spider,
She!

There is a lesson there for us. Very nicely written.

Nicely put together, Kathy.

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
As I inevitably root for the underdog, and have a fondness for spiders, and little fondness for flies, my sympathy lies with the hungry spider. But what I really notice is the observer, watching, knowing how these things go, that is—either way.
