Just trying to show that in the mind of kids, the greater influence is not our words but our actions.
Sees:
Dad drawing smoke into his lungs,
And exhaling with a loud "Aaaargh"
Mom nagging all day
Except when she's sick
Big brother sneaking out late at night
And coming back shortly with someone, whispering, "next time it's a motel, I don't know why you can't afford one yet"
Big sister staring at the business card of a wealthy looking, elderly man
Then making an entry in her little leather bound diary
Having seen all these, he comes to a decision in his young impressionable mind,
"When I grow up, I want to be like dad, mom, big brother and big sister!"

Influence
A pair of innocent, childish eyes watching...Sees:
Dad drawing smoke into his lungs,
And exhaling with a loud "Aaaargh"
Mom nagging all day
Except when she's sick
Big brother sneaking out late at night
And coming back shortly with someone, whispering, "next time it's a motel, I don't know why you can't afford one yet"
Big sister staring at the business card of a wealthy looking, elderly man
Then making an entry in her little leather bound diary
Having seen all these, he comes to a decision in his young impressionable mind,
"When I grow up, I want to be like dad, mom, big brother and big sister!"
