Blown Away
In park sitting with thoughtshave a to do list of my " oughts,"
but the wind is high
sun's just in the sky.
Willow fronds such beauty,
like a hula dancer they sway,
trying to shift my negative thoughts
let the breeze blow them away.
Dog's pad past,
child's scooters skim,
the elderly stroll
and nod on a whim.
My mood is lifting
life slots into place,
cobwebs have blown,
I rise and pick up the pace.
