Cage of Emotions

I figured out
how I feel about you
Love
Pure Love
My stomach flops
when I see you
And I don't know
how to stop it
And if I would
if I knew how
A strange feeling
overcomes me
Warmth
Joy
Laughter
All mixed together
and I wonder
if I should tell you
Or if you would
walk away, uncaring
But you may share
my feelings
And we would be
surrounded by love
But there are too many risks
too many chances
too many sacrifices
So I am backed into
a corner, a trap
and I am huddled there
until you come to find me
and rescue me,
Like a knight in shining armor,
from the cage of my own
Emotions

This is GORGEOUS! It is definitely one of my most favorite texts from you. You have a gift for rhyme, but this text shows that you also have a unique talent for effective and moving free writes!

(cage of emotions=KICKASS metaphor.)

I love this one! You showed it to me in yearbook a few days ago and I was like AWWWW!!! When I read the line about stomach flops, I always think of things that made MY stomach flop and then... my stomach flops...
It's a really cool poem!!
