Quilts and Guilt
quilts and guiltpatience and shame
a million voices
whispering my name
pieces of life
torn into shreds
a billion eyes
focused and dead
towering steeples
bended knees
bloodied memories
whimpering pleas
closeted chaos
muffled to stone
grays to granite
left all alone
lost in silence
buried in remorse
suffocate and suffer
leaving no recourse
shadows darken
swollen and vile
tall in oppression
masked in a smile
quilted comforts
wrapped in guilt
sewn together
with threads of silk
