In my real-life critique group, Marlee asked, "Is this about a horse?"
I said, "Yes, me."
If I would break
fallen 1000 times
pieces on the floor
I'm still here
Not a hairline crack
A few grays
wrinkles when I smile
You think it's easy
to roam the pen
while the trainer
throws down his whip
disgusted
in despair
The hardest thing I've ever done
is watch your face
when I explain the symptoms
of this particular condition
chaos
disorder
You think you can tame
like peeling off paint
even without makeup
plain to see
I will not be broken
